Stableford
BangoGolf is the easest way to play. You golf. We do the math.
What is Stableford?
Stableford is a popular points-based scoring system where the goal is to get the highest score. Instead of counting total strokes, you earn points based on how you perform against the par for each hole. Better scores get more points, and bad holes won't wreck your entire round.
Default Points (Customizable)
- Double Eagle: 8 points
- Eagle: 5 points
- Birdie: 2 points
- Par: 0 points
- Bogey: -1 point
- Double Bogey: -2 points

How Stableford scoring works
With BangoGolf, you don't need to be a mathematician. The app does all the work for you.
When creating a Stableford game, you must set the par for each hole.
As you play, simply enter the number of strokes for each player on each hole.
The app automatically calculates the Stableford points based on the score and par.
The total points are updated in real-time. The player with the most points wins.

Why Stableford is hard to track manually
Keeping a running tally of points, while remembering the strokes and par for each hole, is a headache.
- Constant mental math distracts from your game.
- Easy to make mistakes and lose track of the real leader.
- Slows down the pace of play.
- Paper scorecards weren't built for this.
